Gratitude Two: Dips

A Dip Challenge

Seth Godwin says “The Dip is the long slog between starting and mastery.” Yesterday I started working on my business full-time. And yesterday, I hit a Dip.

The Conflict

I want a blog. I want a well-accepted, entertaining, informative blog that everyone flocks to. In my heart, I want to lead a tribe.

Another “I” doesn’t like the light, doesn’t want to be seen, and is afraid that people won’t like her. I + “I” = Internal Conflict. So, yesterday I did not get some writing done that was very high on my priority list.

Which turned into an opportunity to practice what to do when I feel like dirt.

Of course, I spent some time watching The Avengers (boy, Diana Riggs was awesome!!), and some more time accepting that I was watching The Avengers in the middle of the day. And finally, I got to The Talk. It is Havi’s thing to write down her Talks, so I won’t do mine here. I just want to say that gratitude is somehow woven through each piece of yesterday, and this post.

… And the Other Side (For Now)

Somehow Diana Rigg being brilliant and taking out the bad guys gave me some courage to sit at the table and talk to my adversary.  My adversary turned out to be on my side, we came to a compromise. Today I am on the other side of this Dip (with more to come I am sure).

Join Me

Just so you know, this is a ritual of Gratitude. And you are welcome to join me with parts of your own story. Are you in gratitude for something unexpected, but longed for in your heart? Tell me, I’d love to hear about it.
